Knock, knock.

So I heard a knock at the door this afternoon and I opened it to two college-age-looking guys who greeted me by saying, “Don’t worry, it’s nothing bad.” Greeeat. Then the one on the left started telling me how they were doing an exercise for a class dealing with public speaking. I told them that was fine, but I had a baby in the other room I needed to tend to, so I didn’t have time to listen to what they had to say. The guy (on the left) responded by saying that I didn’t need to be around the baby all the time, it would be fine to stay and listen because baby’s hearts keep on beating just like ours. I responded by shutting the door in his face.

  1. Heck yeah – I usually don’t recommend being that way, but what a dumb thing to say!!! And babies find dangerous things within seconds of being left alone!!! What a dork! OMG!!
